Beschreibung
|
Hydroxyprogesterone is a progestogen structurally related to progesterone that has been used for recurrent miscarriage and various menstrual disorders. Women who have had a spontaneous preterm delivery are at greatly increased risk for preterm delivery in subsequent pregnancies. The results of several small trials have suggested that hydroxyprogesterone may reduce the risk of preterm delivery.

Reacts with 17-alpha-hydroxyprogesterone-BSA conjugate and free 17-alpha-hydroxyprogesterone. No cross reactivity with BSA. GTX20803 also recognises: 17-Hydroxyprogesterone 100%, Progesterone 11%, Deoxycorticosterone 15%.
