Immunogen: This antibody was purified from hybridoma (clone 6D8) supernatant using protein-A Sepharose. This hybridoma was established by fusion of mouse myeloma cell P3/NS1/1-Ag4-1 with Balb/c mouse splenocyte immunized with cell membranes from A431 cells.

Beschreibung: Epithelial cell-cell junctions serve to link the cadherin to actin microfilaments or the intermediate filament cytoskeleton and are important for tissue integrity. Desmosomes are one of the main adhesive junctions in epithelial tissues. Two members of the cadherin family of proteins, desmogleins and desmocolins that are linked to intermediate filament cytoskeleton through interactions with .-catenin, desmoplakin and plakophilin family of proteins. In the skin, the three desmogleins (desmoglein-1, -2 and -3) are expressed in a stratification dependent manner, and therefore contribute to compositionally different desmosomes throughout the differentiating layers.

Spezifität: This antibody reacts with human Desmoglein 2.

Applikationshinweise: Western blotting: 5 µg/mL. Immunoprecipitation: 2 µg / 200-300 µL of cell extract Immunohistochemistry: Not recommended.

Konzentration: 1 mg/mL

Buffer: 100 µg IgG in 100 µL volume of PBS containing 50% glycerol, pH 7.2. No preservative is contained.

Immunoprecipitation of desmoglein 2 from Hela cells with normal mouse IgG (1) or K0102-4 (2). After immunoprecipitated with the antibody, immunocomplex was resolved on SDS-PAGE and immunoblotted with ABIN131670.
