Beschreibung: Acetylation and deacetylation of lysine are very important reversible modifications controlling protein activity. The conserved amino-terminal domains of the four core histones (H2A, H2B, H3 and H4) contain lysines that are acetylated by histone acetyltransferases (HATs) and deacetylated by histone deacetylases (HDACs). Both acetylation and deacetylation of histones regulate chromatin structure and gene activity.

Spezifität: Detects acetylated lysines in a wide range of proteins in various species. It does not detect nonacetylated proteins.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: The antibody can be used for Western blot analysis (1-2 µg/ml), immunoprecipitation (10-20 µg/ml), and immunohistochemistry (10-20 µg/ml). However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.

Buffer: Supplied as 100 µg (0.5 mg/ml) purified rabbit polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
