Beschreibung: A1 (also designated Bfl-1) is a Bcl-2 family protein that dimerizes with both Bcl-2 and Bax, and has been identified as a hematopoietic- specific, early inducible gene. Although A1 demonstrated properties similar to those of Bcl-2, its function may be more temporally regulated during myeloid differentiation and is dependent on additional growth stimuli to confer its life promoting properties. A1 is abundantly expressed in bone marrow and at low levels in other tissues. A1 expression has been correlated with stomach cancer.

Spezifität: The A1 antibody detects the 20 kDa A1/Bfl-1 protein of human, mouse, and rat origin. Reactivity to other species has not been tested.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: The antibody can be used for Western blotting (1-4 µg/ml), immunoprecipitation, and immuno- histochemistry. However, the optimal conditions should be determined individually.

Buffer: Supplied as 100 µg (0.2 mg/ml) rabbit anti-A1 polyclonal antibody in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.2, containing 50% glycerol, 1% BSA, 0.02% sodium azide.
