Spezifität: Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) is a transmembrane protein of 107kD containing a heme prosthetic group and it is present as dimmer on the apical surface of the thyroid follicular cells. TPO is the primary enzyme involved in thyroid hormone synthesis. Malignant thyroid tumors exhibit an anomaly in TPO resulting in lower affinity for anti-TPO. This antibody may be useful aid in the differentiation between the benign and malignant thyroid tumors.

Anwendungen

Applikationshinweise: Titer/Working Dilution: This antibody may be diluted to a titer of 1:10-1:25 in an ABC method. However, depending on the staining conditions employed, we suggest that final dilution should be determined by the user. Staining Protocol: We suggest an incubation period of 30-60 minutes at room temperature. However, depending upon the fixation conditions and the staining system employed, optimal incubation should be determined by the user. High temperature treatment of formalin-fixed tissue sections with 1mM EDTA buffer, pH 9.0 must be performed prior to the immunostaining. Positive Control: Thyroid. Cellular localization: Cytoplasmic
