Spezifität This antibody reacts with CD79a positive cells by flow cytometry. This clone has been reported to be useful in distinguishing B-CLL from mantle cell lymphoma in flow cytometric assays.

Hintergrund A disulfide-linked heterodimer, consisting of CD79a / mb1 and CD79b / B29 polypeptides, is non-covalently associated with membrane bound immunoglobulins on B cells to constitute the B cell Ag receptor. CD79a first appears at pre B cell stage and persists until the plasma cell stage where it is found as an intracellular component. CD79a is found in the majority of acute leukemias of precursor B cell type, in B cell lines, B cell lymphomas, and in some myelomas. The CD79a/b heterodimer interacts with at least one tyrosine kinase (Lyn). Induction of tyrosine kinase activity after antigen binding causes phosphorylation of the CD79a/b dimer, and also of other molecules, thereby initiating intracellular signaling.Synonyms: B-Cell marker, B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein alpha-chain, IGA, MB-1 membrane glycoprotein, MB1, Membrane-bound immunoglobulin-associated protein, Surface IgM-associated protein

Applikationshinweise Flow Cytometry: Use 10 μL of neat antibody to label 1x10^6 cells in 100 μL. We recommend incubation times of at least 30 minutes with this antibody.
