Beschreibung
|
The biological function of avidin is not known. It is a homotetrameric glycoprotein found inchicken egg white, and forms a strong non covalent specific complex with biotin (onemolecule of biotin per subunit of avidin).

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-RabbitSerum as well as purified and partially purified Avidin [Hen Egg White]. No cross reactivity occurs against Streptavidin.

Applikationshinweise
|
Suitable for Immunoblotting (Western or Dot blot), ELISA, Immunoprecipitation,conjugation and most immunological methods requiring high titer and specificity. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Lagerung

Store vial at 2-8°C prior to restoration. Restore with deionized water (or equivalent), centrifuge product if not completely clearafter standing at room temperature. This product is stable for one month at 2-8°C as anundiluted liquid. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below. Avoid repeatedfreezing and thawing. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
