Serotonin (also known as 5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT) is a biochemical messenger andneurotransmitter synthesized from L-tryptophan. Serotonin has a range of functions,including regulation of gastric motility, and may be related to some psychiatric disordersincluding schizophrenia and depression.

This antibody stains serotonin containing cells in human ileum and also stains primary andmetastatic carcinoid tumours containing serotonin.

Applikationshinweise
|
Immunohistochemistry on frozen and paraffin sections. Immunoflourescence. Use human ileum as positive control. Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.
