Beschreibung

Serotonin (also known as 5-hydroxytryptamine or 5-HT) is a biochemical messenger andneurotransmitter synthesized from L-tryptophan. Serotonin has a range of functions,including regulation of gastric motility, and may be related to some psychiatric disordersincluding schizophrenia and depression. Serotonin is widely distributed in the central and peripheral nervous system, and also insome non-neural tissues such as platelets.

Recognizes Serotonin and does not cross react with 5-Hydroxyindolacetic Acid, GABA,noradrenaline, 5-Hydroxytryptophan, Carnosine or Melatonin.

Applikationshinweise
|
Immunofluorescence. Immunohistochemistry on Frozen Sections. (See Ref.1)Other applications not tested. Optimal dilutions are dependent on conditions and should be determined by the user.

Lagerung
|
Store the antibody undiluted at 2-8°C for one month or (in aliquots) at -20°C for longer. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Shelf life: one year from despatch.
