  1. BPGAP1 provides a crucial spatiotemporal checkpoint where JNK (zeige MAPK8 Antikörper) and MP1 (zeige PITRM1 Antikörper)/MEK1 (zeige MAP2K1 Antikörper) work in concert to regulate endosomal and nuclear ERK (zeige EPHB2 Antikörper) signaling in cell proliferation control.

  2. Pin1 (zeige PIN1 Antikörper) regulates BPGAP1 function in Rho and Erk (zeige EPHB2 Antikörper) signalling, with active Mek2 (zeige MAP2K2 Antikörper) serving as a novel regulatory scaffold that promotes crosstalk between RhoGAP (zeige ARHGAP1 Antikörper), Pin1 (zeige PIN1 Antikörper) and Erk (zeige EPHB2 Antikörper) in the regulation of cell migration.

  3. BPGAP1 has a role in regulating cell dynamics with BNIP-2 (zeige BNIP2 Antikörper) and Cdc42GAP (zeige ARHGAP1 Antikörper) homology/Sec14p-like, proline-rich, and GTPase-activating protein (zeige RASA1 Antikörper) domains of BPGAP1

  4. RhoGAP (zeige ARHGAP1 Antikörper) functionally interacts with cortactin (zeige CTTN Antikörper) and represents a novel determinant in the regulation of cell dynamics.

  5. ARHGAP8 expression was up-regulated in the majority of primary colorectal tumors analyzed in this work.

  6. BPGAP1 is a novel RhoGAP (zeige ARHGAP1 Antikörper) that co-ordinately regulates pseudopodia and cell migration through the interplay of its BNIP-2 (zeige BNIP2 Antikörper) and Cdc42GAP (zeige ARHGAP1 Antikörper) homology domains.

  7. findings reveal a concomitant activation of endocytosis and ERK (zeige EPHB2 Antikörper) signaling by BPGAP1 via the coupling of its proline-rich region, which targets EEN (zeige SH3GL1 Antikörper) and its functional GAP domain

  8. This paper compares the protein sequences and genomic structures of human and mouse ARHGAP8.

rho GTPase Activating Protein 8 (ARHGAP8) Antigen-Profil

Protein Überblick

This gene encodes a member of the RHOGAP family. GAP (GTPase-activating) family proteins participate in signaling pathways that regulate cell processes involved in cytoskeletal changes. GAP proteins alternate between an active (GTP-bound) and inactive (GDP-bound) state based on the GTP:GDP ratio in the cell. This family member is a multidomain protein that functions to promote Erk activation and cell motility. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants. Read-through transcripts from the upstream proline rich 5, renal (PRR5) gene into this gene also exist, which led to the original description of PRR5 and ARHGAP8 being a single gene.
