Human S100 Calcium Binding Protein G (S100G) Interaktionspartner

  1. Addition of short-chain fatty acids to cultured Caco-2 cells results in elevation of calbindin-D9k mRNA.

  2. cultured syncytiotrophoblast cells express calbindin-D9k and calbindin-D28k (zeige CALB1 Proteine) genes, which are stimulated by calcitriol

  3. Parathyroid hormone (zeige PTH Proteine) may inhibit or counteract the increase in CaBP-D9k mRNA caused by 1,25-(OH)2-D3 in Caco-2 cells.

  4. Cdx-2 (zeige CDX2 Proteine) is a permissive factor that influences basal CaBP expression in enterocytes and that HNF-1alpha (zeige HNF1A Proteine) modulates CaBP gene expression during cellular differentiation.

Mouse (Murine) S100 Calcium Binding Protein G (S100G) Interaktionspartner

  1. These findings suggest that expression of paracellular tight junction genes is regulated by transcellular CaBP proteins, suggesting that active and passive calcium transport pathways may function cooperatively

  2. TRPV6 (zeige TRPV6 Proteine), NCX1 (zeige SLC8A1 Proteine), and CaBP-9k in the fetal placenta and CaBP-28k in the maternal placenta may play key roles in controlling calcium transport across the placenta during pregnancy.

  3. When immature mice were treated with 17beta-estradiol or progesterone for 3 days, we found that the expressions of Bax (zeige BAX Proteine) and caspase 3 protein (zeige CASP3 Proteine) were increased by estradiol treatment in WT and CaBP-9k KO mice.

  4. Regulation of calbindin-D9k expression by 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D(3) and parathyroid hormone (zeige PTH Proteine) in mouse primary renal tubular cells

  5. These results suggest that the mouse uterine calbindin-D9k gene is expressed under the control of a progesterone response element.

  6. demonstrated that the CaBP-9k is distinctly regulated in the mouse placenta and extra-embryonic membrane, probably via sex steroid hormones (E2 and P4) and their receptors through a complex pathway

  7. Progesterone and its receptor may be dominant factors in the regulation of CaBP-9k but estrogen and ERalpha (zeige ESR1 Proteine) can influence the expression of the CaBP-9k gene via an indirect pathway in the uterus of immature mice.

  8. These results suggest that calcium regulates CaBP-D9k expression by modulating the circulating 1,25-dihydrxyvitamin D(3) level and that Vitamin D receptor (zeige VDR Proteine) is thus required for the dietary calcium-induced suppression of CaBP-D9k expression.

  9. Taken together, these results indicate that mouse CaBP-9k gene may be regulated by Dex in a tissue-specific manner, and reduced duodenal CaBP-9k via the GR pathway may take part in negative calcium absorption of GC-induced osteoporosis.

  10. Results indicate that flutamide has an anti-progestogenic activity as a partial antagonist of progesterone in the regulation of uterine CaBP-9k in immature mouse model.

Cow (Bovine) S100 Calcium Binding Protein G (S100G) Interaktionspartner

  1. The study explores ion-binding under native conditions, and demonstrates the ability to detect the chelation of a single calcium ion through the change that ion binding imparts on the effective charge of calbindin D9k.

  2. TRPV6 (zeige TRPV6 Proteine) and CaBP-9k are expressed during pregnancy in the bovine uterine endometrium and placentomes, suggesting a functional role for these proteins in Ca2 (zeige CA2 Proteine)+ metabolism during pregnancy.

Pig (Porcine) S100 Calcium Binding Protein G (S100G) Interaktionspartner

  1. S100G expression in endometrium showed a biphasic pattern of increases on D12 of pregnancy and from D60 (zeige TAF6 Proteine) to term, and it localized to luminal epithelial cells during early pregnancy and to luminal and glandular cells and chorionic membrane from D30 to term

S100G Protein Überblick

Protein Überblick

This gene encodes calbindin D9K, a vitamin D-dependent calcium-binding protein. This cytosolic protein belongs to a family of calcium-binding proteins that includes calmodulin, parvalbumin, troponin C, and S100 protein. In the intestine, the protein is vitamin D-dependent and its expression correlates with calcium transport activity. The protein may increase Ca2+ absorption by buffering Ca2+ in the cytoplasm and increase ATP-dependent Ca2+ transport in duodenal basolateral membrane vesicles.
