  1. Data suggest both PXR (zeige NR1I2 Proteine) and CAR are expressed in testis/Sertoli cells; exposure of Sertoli cells (in vitro model of blood-testis barrier) to PXR (zeige NR1I2 Proteine) or CAR ligands (including antiretroviral drugs) up-regulates expression of Pgp/ABCB1 (zeige ABCB4 Proteine), BCRP, and MRP4 (zeige ABCC4 Proteine). (PXR (zeige NR1I2 Proteine) = pregnane X receptor (zeige NR1I2 Proteine); CAR = constitutive androstane receptor (zeige NR1I3 Proteine); Pgp/ABCB1 (zeige ABCB4 Proteine) = P-glycoprotein ABCB1 (zeige ABCB1 Proteine); BCRP = breast cancer resistance protein; MRP4 (zeige ABCC4 Proteine) =multidrug resistance protein 4)

  2. in patients with chronic myeloid leukemia (zeige BCL11A Proteine), the study of ABCB1 (zeige ABCB1 Proteine) polymorphism showed that the optimal response rate to imatinib did not differ significantly between C1236T, G2677T/A or C3435T genotypes; however, the 1236C-2677A-3435C haplotype was observed only in imatinib non-responders, suggesting that CAC (zeige CA2 Proteine) haplotype was linked to higher risk of imatinib resistance

  3. our findings demonstrated that MDR1 expression is regulated by CDX2 (zeige CDX2 Proteine) and is related to drug resistance in ovarian mucinous adenocarcinoma.

  9. Our data suggest that the C1236T and G2677A/T SNPs in the MDR1 gene are associated with Crohn's disease and the C1236T risk allele with a more severe course of disease in Algerian pediatric patients.

  10. ATPase measurements imply that DCV and Ho are similarly handled by ABCB1, whereas ABCG2 seems to transport DVC more effectively. In addition, we have developed an image-based high content microscopy screening method for simultaneous in situ measurement of the cellular activity and expression of the ABCG2 multidrug transporter

ATP-Binding Cassette, Sub-Family B (MDR/TAP), Member 1B (ABCB1B) Protein Überblick

Protein Überblick

The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MDR/TAP subfamily. Members of the MDR/TAP subfamily are involved in multidrug resistance. The protein encoded by this gene is an ATP-dependent drug efflux pump for xenobiotic compounds with broad substrate specificity. It is responsible for decreased drug accumulation in multidrug-resistant cells and often mediates the development of resistance to anticancer drugs. This protein also functions as a transporter in the blood-brain barrier.
